 This was under my Magic Hat beer cap.  How appropriate and fitting to me - and on my half birthday!  Crazy I'll be 28 in only 6 months.  Singing is something I absolutely love, but I also feel has something in store for me...we shall see.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2013

Beer and cards with two of my best friends.  Why go out to Happy Hour when you can do Happy Hour on your balcony?  We played Phase 10 and Uno, and got new beers to try.  Such a great day of being goofy, laughing, relaxing, and great company.

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 27, 2013

I went to an Open Call audition for "Aladdin" this morning in Burbank.  I got there an hour before sign in and was number 12 on the list.  Let's put this in perspective: if this was NYC, and I got there an hour before, most likely, I would have been #200 on the list, or something crazy like that.  It was a fun audition, and I had a good time. We'll see what happens.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 25, 2013

 After many delays to due weather and some crazy turbulence, I finally made it back to Los Angeles.  So thankful that I was able to make it back to Michigan and meet Andrew at this point in his life.  He's such a beautiful addition to this world and our family.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2013

 I got to spend the entire day with Andrew yesterday again.  We did laps around the house when he wanted to walk around.  We watched Tangled together.  We took a big ol' nap together.  And, of course, I got to feed him, again.  One of the best feelings ever: having a baby sleep on your chest.  For real.  I love him so much.

 Danielle was a fourth year BFA theatre major at WSU when I was a first year.  Whenever I went to Chicago (where she moved after graduating), I would contact her and her husband and try to grab lunch or a drink.  She's an extremely talented actress with a strong work ethic and great energy.  When she saw I was coming back to MI, she wanted to get together.  (She's now currently in the Hilberry MFA program at WSU.)  So, I headed downtown to grab a drink with her and some of the other Hilberry students.  It was really cool to catch up on the last few years.  She was always someone I looked up to while at WSU, so it's cool to see where she's at now, and to have remained friends.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22, 2013

Snowstorm today.  However, Victoria and Alex came over and spent the day with me.  We went out to lunch at Coney Island and then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's to spend the rest of the day.  It's so awesome to watch him grow up.  He's getting big so fast!  He's four months old already!

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2013

 I landed in Michigan this morning, and Dad picked me up from the airport.  Julie met us at Eastside Bagel and took me home with her and Andrew, and I got to spend the entire day with them.  It was wonderful.  Andrew makes the best faces - he's so animated.  Here, during one of our many photo shoots, we are making the same face. :)

Do you ever take yourself out to dinner?  I like to do this every once in a while; today was one of those days.  I took myself out to one of my favorite little Thai places near my apartment.

I finally cut up the last roll of poppyseed that Grandma sent me back with after Christmas.  I told myself I'd only have a couple slices...ten minutes later the whole roll was gone.  Grandma's poppyseed rolls are probably the only thing I have no self restraint with.  meh.
